Alexander McQueen’s sense of style was hardly limited to the trend-setting silhouettes he sent down the runway. A luxury Spanish villa that the British designer owned from 2005 until his tragic death in 2010 was recently snapped up for $2.78 million, and glimpses into the space reveal a beautifully designed, carefully curated home. The 4,844-square-foot villa, located in the coastal town of Santa Ponsa on the Spanish island of Mallorca, was renovated in 2015 and includes five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, with stunning views of the Sierra Tramuntana Mountains and Santa Ponsa’s sprawling golf courses. Notable amenities of the light-filled home include marble floors with underfloor heating, large floor-to-ceiling windows for maximum brightness, a modern fitted kitchen with an adjacent dining space ideal for entertaining, a fireplace in the living room, air conditioning (crucial for hot Spanish summers) and an underground garage with three parking spaces. The master suite features a Jacuzzi-style deep soaking tub, and out back, the villa boasts two spacious terraces and an infinity-edge swimming pool.

In addition to his Spanish getaway, the renowned designer also previously owned a penthouse in London’s posh Mayfair area, a two-bedroom home that occupies the top two floors of a building on a quiet residential street. The entirety of the interior spaces reflected McQueen’s aesthetic, with mirror accents and elegant chandeliers scattered throughout the space, which was made up in a palette of grays and creams. A grand spiral staircase connected the two floors to a private roof deck, with two floor-length mirrors naturally flanking the geometric structure.
