Despite his 50-plus-year career in interior design, the Paris-based Jacques Grange shows no signs of slowing down. Case in point: his latest book published in 2021, Jacques Grange: Recent Works, from Rizzoli, which includes 31 new projects featuring his signature luxurious style.

Grange creates eclectic interiors by mixing a wealth of styles and periods, drawing heavily on the exquisite art collections of his clients, which include cultural luminaries such as Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino Garavani, Princess Caroline of Monaco, and François Pinault. When it comes to his hospitality projects, he likes to combine luxury with a sense of individuality, as he did at The Mark in New York and Hotel Mamá in Mallorca, which boasts colorful tiled floors and traditional furniture shapes covered in floral fabrics. Other recent projects include a one-bedroom apartment in Paris designed for a friend. “We taught each other things. I am not interested in just sitting quietly with my own old thoughts. I learned, too,” he reflected of the project.
